Partial Description:
Work with facility's Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing.  Assure that departmental procedures are
followed in accordance with established policies.  Conducts care plan conferences in compliance with regulations.
Observe residents and monitor resident care and report changes to the physician, director of nursing, or assistant
director or nursing.  Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents and document.  Assure completion of admission
process, e.g. lab work, verifies orders, etc.  Assign nursing personnel according to residents' needs.

Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.

state regulations.

Perform and/or assist resident with all hygienic and grooming functions, including dental and mouth care, bathing,
dressing, shaving, bowel and bladder functions.  Change bed linens and make beds.  Check residents routinely to
assure that their personal care needs are being met.  Lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents into and out of
beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.  Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activities and
social programs, etc., as necessary, and accompany residents, as assigned, to scheduled appointments outside
facility.

Requirements:
Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant, certified by the District of Columbia.
CPR certified.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.

Partial Description:
Responsible for dusting/polishing and arranging furniture or equipment.  Mop and polish floors.  Vacuum and shampoo
carpets and draperies.  Scour and sanitize sinks, toilets, tubs and shower areas.  Polish plumbing fixtures.  Clean
mirrors, light fixtures, doors, windows, and sills.  Wash and clean walls.  Clean bed frames, dresser drawers, and
closets as part of the monthly complete room schedule.  Collect trash from the units and dispose in outside container.  
May be called on for utility work in any area of the building.  May also do project work such as stripping and refinishing
floors.  Handles and mixes cleaning chemicals safely and properly.  Follow established Infection Control and Universal
Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
Requirements:
Must be able to:
  • a. Lift buckets of water from floor to sink a minimum of 15 times a day.
  • b. Lift bags of trash or soiled linen a minimum of 20 times a day.
  • c. Push trash or linen hamper safely in and out of elevators and along hallway.

Previous facility housekeeping/cleaning experience is preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner.

Position: Central Supply Coordinator

Partial Description:
     Orders all medical, surgical and general nursing supplies. Orders supplies for other departments as requested.  
Checks all incoming orders from suppliers and makes sure that they are of the right quality and quantity ordered.  
Maintains and organizes data regarding supplies for easy retrieval when requested. Orders enteral products; maintains
accurate record keeping of all enterals.  Reviews resident charges for all ancillary items and enteral feeding products
and supplies and submits charges to the Business Office on a daily basis.  Prepares monthly report on all enterals and
submits to the Business Office Manager every first week of the month.  Makes written and oral reports/recommendations
to the Business Manager concerning central supply operations.  Assumes the responsibility and accountability for
central supply operations.  Present a positive image of the facility to all customers, such as job applicants,
families, and the community.
 
Requirements:
•        High school graduate and knowledge of medical terminology required or any combination
•        of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required by this
•        position.
•        Typing skills required.
•        One (1) year of experience in a health care facility preferred.
