News and events at Manchester Manor

The renovations in the social dining room at Manchester Manor are moving forward.  All residents, family members and staff are anxious for the grand re-opening which is slated for the St. Patrick’s Day party on March 16! 
 
 
Manchester Manor is hosting a CNA job fair at the Center on Friday March 16.  Times are 10-12 and 2-4.  Refreshments and giveaways will be provided.  If anyone is interested in applying, please stop in at the Center!
 
 
Suzanne McMurray, RN at Shore Neurology Group, will be the guest presenter at the Manchester Manor Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting on Thursday, March 8, 2:30 PM.  Suzanne will speak about holistic treatment methods and other topics related to her research studies of Parkinson’s.  Refreshments will be served.  For further information, contact Nancy Cruser, Director of Admissions at 732-657-1800.

Wanaque Center’s 4th Annual Valentine’s Cocktail Reception

The Wanaque Center celebrated their fourth Annual Valentines cocktail reception on Friday February 10th 2012 and it was a great success! Over forty seniors from the community plus family members attended.Everyone enjoyed themselves and walked away with a prize.  We want to thank all the deparment heads who helped make this a success.

Majestic Oaks celebrates it’s 7th Annual Sweetheart’s Dance

Majestic Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation is celebrating it’s 7th Annual Sweetheart’s Dance on Tuesday February 14th at 7:00pm. Residents, staff, and visitors can vote now for the Majestic king and queen who will be crowned that evening.

The Millhouse celebrates Black History Month

The Millhouse will be celebrating Black History Month for the enitre month of February with the residents.  Our Activities Director will be doing various activities and trivia games that pertain to influental African Americans who have made an impact in American culture.

The Health Center At Bloomingdale’s Drama Club

The Health Center at Bloomingdale Drama Club which had it’s debut on January of 2008, is open to all residents who are interested to be a part of our next project “The Quest for Sleeping Beauty”.  This stage play will be staged this Spring.  Come be a part of this once in a stage life experience. Previous performances have included: Stations of the Cross, A Christmas Story, Trip Down Memory Lane, Cinderella, Cinderella Re-run, Christmas Around the World, Live Nativity and Star Awards.  We are pleased to announce that our stage plays and productions are open to the public.
